WELCOME
Welcome to Waitt Speech & Language! Whether your child is having difficulty clearly pronouncing words, only saying a few words, or is not yet talking, we can help.
We are a private speech therapy practice committed to providing the highest level of individualized intervention for children of all ages and abilities. We provide services in your child's most comfortable learning environment. We are an out-of-network private pay-for-services company that will help facilitate reimbursement by providing invoices when needed.
Meet the owner
Angie Waitt
Angie is a graduate of UNC-CH and an ASHA certified speech language pathologist with over 11 years of experience helping children grow in their speech, language, and communication. She has extensive training and specialization in autism spectrum disorder, augmentative and alternative communication, cognitive and developmental delays, language development and articulation. She has a wealth of experience in the school system and various childcare facilities. Prior to becoming an SLP, she was a kindergarten teacher and preschool director for 20 years.

Her passion is providing therapy so all children can reach their greatest potential and have a voice! She received the Lara Jane Parker/Talbot L. Black Award for Advocacy Recipient in 2017 due to her advocacy of preschoolers in Orange County Schools. ​

As a mother of an adult son with disabilities she understands the daily struggles and successes families face. She approaches each child she serves with compassion, enthusiasm, and an unwavering belief in their ability to grow.

Individualized therapy sessions based on the child's needs will be provided in the child's natural environment, which could be in the home or at a childcare facility. Therapy time could range from 30 minute sessions to one hour and provided once or twice a week, depending on the need.
Services Offered
Speech, language, and communication evaluations to determine specific strengths and areas of need can be administered.
Caregiver resources, recommendations, training and consultation can be provided to promote collaboration and support carryover of skills learned in therapy.
